Dickson and Judy Nyanyuki met in church 16 years ago. Seven years later, the couple said 'I do' in a blissful wedding witnessed by close friends and family.
However, several years passed by after the wedding, and still there was no baby to show. In as much as this didn't dent their marriage, the couple kept hoping that one day they would hold their bundle of joy
"I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and was given medication for it. As I approached 40years, my hope dwindled and I began to accept my fate,"
At some point, Judy got unwell, and while at the hospital, she requested a cervical scan which showed no signs of cysts. Shortly after, the couple was pleasantly surprised when Judy went to the hospital to process her visa, and a medical check-up was required.
Positive pregnancy test:
A routine pregnancy test turned positive. She was so excited and called to inform her husband instantly.
"I could not believe it. I enjoyed every moment of the pregnancy and did not have the typical symptoms. Our baby girl was born via cs and we cannot thank God enough for the blessing. We named her blessing," she added. The couple now wants to share their story with the universe to give them hope that it is possible to become parents even in their 40s.
