Biblical Proof: The Aerial Shape of the 12 Tribes of Israel Camping in Moabite Territory

Today I want to share about the shape you would see if you saw the Israelites camping in the land of Moab from aerial view. Many of us enjoy looking down from the top of a mountain at beautiful scenery. You know when the Jews left Egypt and crossed the red sea on their way to Canaan the promised land, they camped in the Moabite Territory in an order set by God. This order was according to the four directions, North, South, East, and West. In times of war when we migrate and during the journey when we got tired, we would settle without orderly arrangement. But during the long journey to Canaan, God ordered the Israelites to settle 3 tribes in each of the four directions North 3 tribes, South 3 tribes, East 3 tribes, and West 3 tribes.

Am also sharing this article because of its uniqueness and as our Logo of Calvary Studio is partly derived from it. I have ever shared this with many people who told me they spent over 20 years studying the Bible but they have not come across this description, you may be one of them.

God divided the tribes into Four groups, in Each group, there are three Tribes meaning three times four equals 12 tribes. Three tribes in the North, Three Tribes in the South, Three Tribes in the West, and Three tribes in the East. God further named one tribe in each Group to represent each group. What do I mean? For example in the North, God chose the tribe of Dan, Asher, and Naphtali thus calling the three with one name Dan. For example, if people of Nimule went to represent us in Juba, they may say where is Nimule but you will see people coming from Reyi, Mugali. The Scripture further gave us the population of each Tribe which if we arrange according to the Scripture, would bring an interesting and meaningful shape.

Let me first Draw a table to represent their camping with Relevant Scriptures

  1. DAN IN THE NORTHERN SIDE: Looking at the structure above, the three tribes in the North are given one name Dan with a total of 157,600 "Number 2:31  "The grand total of all the men in Dan's camp is 157,600. They will be the last group to move out. They will travel under their own flag."
  2. REUBEN IN THE SOUTHERN SIDE:  Looking at the structure above, the three tribes in the South are given one name Reuben with a total of 59,300. "Numbers 2:10,13  "On the south side the armies led by Reuben will camp under their flag. The leader for the people of Reuben is Elizur, son of Shedeur. 13  The total number of men in his army is 59,300.
  3. EPHRAIM IN THE WEST: Looking at the structure above, the three tribes in the West are given one name Ephraim with a total of 32,200. "Numbers 2:18,  "On the west side the armies led by Ephraim will camp under their flag. The leader for the people of Ephraim is Elishama, son of Ammihud.21  The total number of men in his army is 32,200.
  4. JUDAH IN THE EASTERN SIDE:  Looking at the structure above, the three tribes in the West are given one name Ephraim with a total of 186,400. Numbers 2:3,9  "On the east side, facing the rising sun, the armies led by Judah will camp under their flag. The leader for the people of Judah is Nahshon, son of Aminadab. 9 The grand total of all the troops in Judah's camp is 186,400. They will be the first group to move out.

If you look at the pillars built from the population of each tribe, a careful look would indicate that the Tribe of Dan in the north and the Tribe of Reuben are identical. Also if you look at the tribe of Judah where Jesus comes from, it is the largest and Ephraim is the smallest tribe.
Now if you put the blocks together and raise it up you would see the shape of a cross.

If you are familiar with Balaam's story, it was when the Israelites were in the cross shape when he tried to curse them. This shape also is where Calvary Studio Ministry got its logo

If you look at the book of Rom 8:1  So those who are believers in Christ Jesus can no longer be condemned. Equally today those who are in Christ Jesus can not be cursed.
