Going to church has always been a norm growing up in an African household. People go to church to worship, pray and interact with other believers of the same faith. However, mostly people go to church to listen to the teachings of the church leaders called pastors. A picture shared on Twitter started debate on wether this is ethical or not. It showed a pastor sitting on this floor of the church with a heap of money bills. On social media, some pastors are now seen living lavish lifestyle that their own members of the congregation cannot afford themselves.
Someone said he does not see anything wrong with what the pastors is doing. He went on to say that artist and actors are paid so why not pay pastors since they are motivational speakers. Another person said this is poor people's money that he is going to use for himself. Nonetheless, there are false pastors and prophets out there in the world so let us be careful who you give your money to. See more comments below.
